Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich recently listed his top 15 heavy metal and hard rock albums in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine. The prestigious list includes Diamond Head’s debut album Lightning to the Nations, which Lars describes as ‘the blueprint for Metallica’s sound’ and explains that Metallica essentially started out as Diamond Head cover band.
